FIBA, with global headquarters in Mies/VD Switzerland, is the world governing body of basketball and an independent association formed by 212 National Basketball Federations throughout the world.

 

FIBA has a truly global reach with five Regional Offices worldwide to support National Federations in their efforts to develop Basketball on the ground. FIBA is a non-profit organisation and recognised as the ultimate authority in basketball by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

 

FIBA 3×3 is the business unit managing 3×3 for FIBA. The 3×3 Operations Associate will join a multi-location team of 25 and provide administrative and accounting support to the FIBA 3×3 team.

 

 

 

 

Tasks/ responsibilities:

 

 

 

Internal Administration

 

 

– Providing accounting, billing and administrative support to the 3×3 team and ensuring correct booking of incoming and outgoing invoices

– Check receiving expense invoices, compare with budget and ensure proper handling (i.e. booking and payment) by Finance Department

– Prepare budget and forecast; compare with actuals – make analysis for various departments within 3×3 (leveraging Excel and FIBA’s accounting system)

– Main liaison with FIBA’s Finance Department pursuant financial reporting of 3×3

– Independent follow-up on deadlines with federations, stakeholders and third parties

– Ensuring data management systems and digital archive (MS Teams) are up to date

– Provide administrative support to the 3×3 logistics team

 

 

 

Required competences:

 

 

– 3 years’ experience in similar position

– Highly proficient in spoken and written English. Other languages are a plus.

– Accounting competency (Invoicing, cost centres, book keeping, controlling, etc.)

– Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information

– Competence in maintaining official correspondence and archiving

– Able to work in an independent and structured manner

– Team-minded and communicative

– Strong expertise in Excel, able to perform data analysis of financial information

– Good command of MS Office (Word, Powerpoint), MS Teams and Acrobat

– Knowledge of Monday.com and how to integrate with other programs is a plus

– Strong archive and database skills
